***right after Daffy asks Mary to marry him***

     ‘So what do you say to marrying me?’ asked Daffy enthusiastically.

     Marry thought about the answer to this question. She had never thought that marriage was even something that she would have to think about in her life. This was because she had always thought of herself has not pure and undesirable since she had been a prostitute previously in her life. Another reason was that she had the clap, which meant she could not bear all of the children that Daffy desired.

     ‘Well I have something to tell you’ she relied nervously.

     ‘What?’ 

     ‘This may come as a surprise to you, but I feel that before I answer your proposal. I have had a rough life and at a young age I was taken advantage by a shop owner and from this got pregnant and the clap. Though I knew I couldn’t have that child so the only way for me to make money in time was to sell my body. Since I got the clap I can't have all the children that you want since the child would be born diseased with the clap. Though I got out of this bad life once I realized the direction my life was going. I am so glad I met you and have fallen in love with you over time. So knowing all this, would you honestly still want to marry me?’

     ‘Wow, well I never expected that from you. But that does not change the love that I have for you. I mean just because you cannot bear children does not mean that we cannot adopt. So will you marry me?’

     ‘Yes I will!’

     After this Mary and Daffy gathered themselves and walked back towards the Jones’ house together to tell everyone their news. When they were walking they could not stop smiling because they were so happy that they had been blessed with each other in life. 

     When they arrived in the house they gathered everyone together so that they could tell them the news. They all looked at them with anticipation.

     'So me and Mary have some good new to share with everyone' Daffy paused for dramatic effect 'Me and Mary have just become engaged to be married!'

     This is the day that Mary had thought about since she was a young child and never expected it to come. She walked outside and the sun flashed in her eyes. Once her sight was clear she saw the best thing of her life, which was her true love Daffy. She was looking forward to the rest of her life.

A recent debate that has been going on is the debate between whether to ban abortion or not. In the article I read it said that 16 states and 50 bills have passed that are banning or restricting access to abortion. The fact that this would even be considered seems ridiculous because a woman should be in charge of her own body. Also there are some cases where an abortion should always be an alternative for a woman, an example of this could be if someone is forced to have sex and gets pregnant. So, woman should be able to make the decision whether they are going to have a child or not.

Birth Control Positives

Birth Control can help women in many ways. the most common know is that it helps women determine when they will actually have children. Though there are many more positives to why women will go on birth control. A large reason can be for women to regulate their period and help with things such as heavy bleeding and bad cramps. Some women have these problems so bad that they are not able to leave their house for the first couple days of their period. Though with the help of birth control they are able to live their lives the way that they want to. Birth control is an invention that helps women every day in many different ways.

Birth Control Making Women Unattractive

In a article released today it talks about how birth control makes women crazy and unattractive. This accusation is just ridiculous because there are many reasons that birth control is taken beside what is mainly conceived as, being just to prevent unwanted pregnancy. There are women such as my very own sister who have to take birth control so they do not lose too much blood when they are on their period, especially if they are deficient in iron. So birth control is more of a medical miracle for these girls and it is not just so they do not get pregnant. Without birth control they would go through many problems and would have to be constantly going to the doctor. Birth control is an easy cure for us women for certain types of medical conditions, in a way by some it could be seen as a saving grace and nit something that makes us crazy and unattractive.

Men vs Women Pay

It is very known that women are typically not paid nearly as much as men. It was discovered that women get 78 cents to every mans dollar which when thinking about it in a larger quantity will add up to a large difference in pay. Though there is no logical reasoning behind why their pay is so difference. Even if they have the same job this pay difference can be seen, but they do the exact same things. If you are doing the same job there is no justifiable reason that men should get this raise in pay and women not have an equal opportunity to earn this. People may think that gender inequality isn't present in society any longer, but it is still very present.

Jobs in Higher Education

A large issue that is constantly being brought up for woman is that it can be harder for them to get a higher job. In a recent article it came to light that at technical institutions it is much harder for a woman to get a job than it is for a arts and science college. At these technical institutions that favor men for the jobs 75.73% to women, whereas at the science and arts college 52.52% of the college is women. This is just wrong that one gender should be favored over the other, both genders should have an equal chance to get these jobs. Just because you have one gender does not mean that your skill set that you are bringing to the job are any better.

Is there one character you identify with more than others? Why?

I felt that I most identified with the character of Tony. I most identify with her mostly because of her fascination of history and her connections with Athena. Athena is the goddess of war and wisdom in common Greek mythology, which is learned in most schooling. On a personal level I identify with these two things because they are both topics that have always interested me. I also felt that most readers could easily connect with her because she wasn’t as complicated as other characters could be at some points.
